David Shockey, M.D.

Dr. David Shockey is an Arizona native who went to Mesa Mountain View High School and graduated from Arizona State University summa cum laude with bachelor's degrees in Biological Science and Psychology.

He obtained his Medical Degree (M.D.) from UT Health San Antonio, graduating first in his class. He then completed a residency at the University of Arizona in Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Shockey is a certified Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) and can currently perform Class II and Class III examinations and certifications. He has a love for wilderness medicine and global health, having traveled to all seven continents and participated in expeditions to Mt. Everest Base Camp, Mt. Kilimanjaro, and Antarctica.

He has presented and published research in high-altitude medicine and point-of-care ultrasound. Occasionally he works as a "ringside doc" for various sporting events and works as an emergency physician in Scottsdale.

In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, pickleball, basketball, and working toward his private pilot license.
